To understand how nematode and the nematode-associated microbial interactions affect the plant's growth, ARD soils from five and three sites in 2016 and 2017, respectively, were filled into pots. Plantlets of the ARD susceptible rootstock M26 were grown in these soils for eight weeks. We classified pots of each soil based on shoot length into high or low plant response to ARD and analysed the nematode microbe diversity.In conclusion, our study confirmed that on the same ARD soils, plants showing high or low ARD symptoms harbor distinct specific free-living nematode and nematode associated fungal fractions that synergistically interact to affect apple plant health. Exploring the mechanism underlying the synergy between the nematodes and microbes will give further insights into the etiology of the disease
