Dataset for "A hypothesis-based approach to species identification in the fossil record: a papionin case study"

This dataset is associated with Brasil et al. (2024), published in <i>Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution</i>. The dataset includes dental metrics, cranial metrics, taxonomic IDs, and sex IDs for all <i>Parapapio</i> individuals analyzed in this study, as well as all individuals in the three comparative samples: <i>Papio hamadryas cynocephalus</i>, <i>Papio hamadryas </i>sspp., and <i>Macaca fascicularis</i>.
