Viral metagenomes in deep-sea surface sediments. uncultured marine virus

We analyzed viral metagenomes of seafloor surface sediments (20-30 cmbsf, 0-10 cmbsf, and 5-10 cmbsf) in three distinct (hado)pelagic environments from the northwest Pacific; the Izu-Ogasawara Trench (9,760 m water depth), the Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trough (10,325 m), and Off Shimokita Peninsula (the offshore of northeast Japan; 1,181 m), respectively, by using 454 FLX Titanium sequencer.
