Bulk 16S rRNA sequencin

We performed bulk 16S rRNA sequencing on mouse fecal samples to investigate whether pretreatment with Astragalus polysaccharides (APS) could alter gut microbiota composition under heat stroke conditions. The analysis assessed microbial richness, diversity, and taxonomic shifts, aiming to identify APS-induced changes in bacterial communities and their potential functional implications, such as vitamin B6 metabolism. This approach was used to clarify the role of intestinal microbiota in mediating the protective effects of APS against heat stroke-induced intestinal injury.
