Governance Architecture Reference

This document defines the Governance Architecture of the Commons Initiative as a systems-level reference, not a legal framework, policy manual, or enforcement doctrine. It specifies roles, authority lifecycles, decay mechanisms, decision latency controls, capture resistance structures, exit conditions, and emergency shutdown analogs, modeled explicitly after safety-critical engineering systems. This architecture is designed to be: legible to academic, institutional, and philanthropic reviewers incompatible with extractive, accumulation-driven governance resistant to co-option, enclosure, and authority ossification non-scalable without prior governance literacy No enforcement authority is granted or implied by this document.
