Alkenone and n-alkane concentrations from short timescale hydrous pyrolysis experiments

Alkenone and n-alkane concentrations and parameters measured on samples from hydrous pyrolysis experiments at short time scales. These experiments were conducted to constrain the kinetics of biomarker reaction in order to apply biomarker thermal maturity as a temperature proxy for short time-scale heating episodes in the rock record. Experiments used sample from core RC14-99 in the Western Pacific which contains a suite of biomarkers that are found in subduction zones in order to ensure applicability to fault heating in shallow faults through marine sediments.
