The Maine Dams dataset, maintained by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is a comprehensive spatial and tabular database of dams, levees, impoundments, and barriers impacting Maine’s lakes, streams, and rivers. It includes both current and historical facilities. Spatial and tabular data will be updated on an ongoing basis. The Maine DEP Dams layers were created from various sources, including a historical dams dataset based on the Inventory of Dams on Maine Waterways (1973), the Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) dams datasets, the Maine Stream Habitat Viewer (MSHV) dataset, and others. ID fields were created and maintained in order to cross-reference the DEP dataset with the National Inventory of Dams (NID), MEMA, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Projects. Additional fields have been added to indicate the status (present, removed, breached, etc.), the presence and types of fishways, and the FERC licensing status of dams.由缅因州环境保护局（Maine Department of Environmental Protection, DEP）维护的缅因州水坝数据集，是一套涵盖缅因州境内湖泊、溪流与河流上的水坝、堤防、蓄水设施及阻水障碍物的综合性空间与表格数据库。该数据集包含当前在用及历史遗留的相关设施，其空间与表格数据将持续更新。缅因州DEP水坝图层源自多类数据源，包括基于《缅因州水道水坝清单（1973）》的历史水坝数据集、缅因州应急管理局（Maine Emergency Management Agency, MEMA）水坝数据集、缅因州溪流栖息地查看器（Maine Stream Habitat Viewer, MSHV）数据集等。创建并维护了ID字段，用于将DEP数据集与国家水坝清单（National Inventory of Dams, NID）、MEMA及联邦能源监管委员会（Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, FERC）项目进行交叉参照。此外，数据集还新增了多个字段，用以标识水坝状态（现存、拆除、溃决等）、鱼道的存在情况与类型，以及水坝的FERC许可状态。
