HTR Transcription of pages from MS.4338 (Wellcome Collection)

This small dataset in English in a late 17th century hand contains the transcription of 5 pages from MS.4338 (1680) of the Wellcome Collection. It was created as part of TranscriboQuest 2025. The manuscript used to create the dataset was compiled by Lady Johanna St. John (1631-1705). She was a country lady of Lydiard Park in England, who compiled medical recipes, detailing ingredients, weights, and instructions to cure and treat many illnesses that could affect family members and her wider community, such as green sickness, rabies and sciatica. The images used in the transcription came from the digital version online hosted by the Wellcome Collection.
