Reproducible model for analyzing perfect competition vs. strategic behaviour from hydropower in the spot and forward markets

This dataset supports the reproduction of the analysis of interactions between the spot and forward markets, in cases of perfect competition or strategic behaviour by hydropower. It is presented in the associated paper "Long-term contracts in hydro-rich power systems: between market power, regulation, and resource adequacy" (see Related links). Input data for the stylized case study of the Brazilian power system are provided alongside the models. The models are composed of spot and forward market modules involving either perfect competition or a price-maker hydropower producer.
