RNAseq of SEC23B wildtype (WT) and mutant (MUT) thyroid cell lines treated with Tunicamycin (Tunica, ER stress)

We report gene expression changes between SEC23B WT and MUT cells after treatment with Tunicamycin. The overall goal is to agnostically determine impacted signaling pathways in the wildtype and mutant settings. Overall design: Stable non-malignant thyroid cell lines (Nthy-ori 3-1) were stably transduced to generate WT (Nthy-SEC23B-WT) and MUT (Nthy-SEC23B-V594G) cell lines. In these experiments, the cell lines were treated with Tunicamycin for 30 hours (hrs) or for 7 days prior to RNA extraction and downstream processing.
