Housefly (Musca domestica) cadavers sporulating with Entomophthora muscae

Transcriptomes of female, virgin housefly cadavers sporulating with the insect pathogenic fungus, Entomophthora muscae sensu stricto. Transcriptomes encompass mRNA from whole fly cadavers in both uninfected controls (freeze-killed) or fungus-killed and sporulating flies in both an early and a late sporulation stage. The mRNa was sequenced, post-processed and subjected to a differential expression analysis to determine up- or downregulation in genes related to volatile and pheromone synthesis.
