Characteristics of 65+ RHS participants by genotyping status.

Comparison of covariables included in the multivariable model between 65+RHS participants with genotype data compared to the rest of the Iowa cohort. These covariables, collected during the baseline interview, were selected because they are aging-related risk factors, and were included in the model to control for confounding. The Iowa 65+RHS cohort is representative of an elderly Iowa, Caucasian population. Expected differences in age (due to blood withdraw at follow-up interview six) and factors historically related to a healthier lifestyle were seen between those genotyped and those not genotyped.Characteristics of 65+ RHS participants by genotyping status.
