SPD of reflectances, displays, light sources and calculation for circadian stimulation in offices

SPD measurements are presented for different reflectances, light sources and computer screens, as well as calculations of circadian light and melatonin suppression for people who work in offices. The first step for the calculation involves weighting the spectrum of each light sources to the reflectance spectra of each of the paint colours, resulting in 51 different circadian pathway stimulation spectra. The next step involves scaling these stimulation spectra by a suitable constant that, when integrating all the spectrum components between 380 nm and 730 nm and weighting it by V₍_λ₎, equals the value of the vertical illuminance at the height of the worker's eyes. These spectra are the input for the CL_A 2.0 calculation, the result of which is used to calculate CS.
