资源简介:

Main Info The present study of the Mira Bay coast on Novaya Sibir’ Island obtained data on the rate of thermal denudation in a high-latitude region to expand the understanding of the permafrost response to current climate changes and to make a geographical comparison with other regions of the Arctic, where similar studies are being carried out. To assess the dynamics of thermal denudation, we selected RTS landforms that a) were active in 2023 and had the longest period of activity before that, b) are most clearly expressed in the topography and are clearly identified on satellite images. This data supplement to Kizyakov et al. Retrogressive thaw slumps of Novaya Sibir’ Island (East Siberian Sea). Data structure File RTS_database_zenodo_04072025.docx contains: Table 1. RTSs edge recognition on satellite images and RTS landforms characteristics. Table contains information on morpology of 47 RTS under study. Table 2. Statistic data of RTSs edge annual retreat rates (in m/yr). Table contains data on headwall retreat rates for every RTS under study. In includes 1st, 2nd, 3rd quartiles and maximum rate values for intervals between successive satellite images. Table 3. Median (Q2) annual retreat rate of RTSs edge and averaged for 2007-2023 (in m/yr). Table contains data on headwall retreat rates for every RTS under study. File RTS_imagery.docx contains figures of all RTS under study on satellite images.
