Genomic resources for wild type populations of the house mouse (Mus musculus musculus) from Afghanistan

The house mouse (Mus musculus) has served since more than 100 years as a model system in genetics and biomedical research.The unique combination of genetic and molecular knowledge derived from the laboratory mouse strains and the deep knowledge of the rich evolutionary history make Mus musculus a prime model for the study of the evolution and molecular biology of natural populations. Here we present the resequencing data from Afghanistan wild type populations.
