Temperature profiles were collected by deploying XBT casts from the SEA-LAND NAVIGATOR and other platforms over a world-wide distribution from 21 September 2000 to 18 March 2002. Data were submitted by the Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) in support of the NOAA's volunteer observing program.
