Bridging the data gap

The present dataset contains demographic and self-report data on an understudied population of female freshmen from a country that has only recently emerged from a strict patriarchal order. It offers a snapshot of their functioning during their first year of university studies in either STEM or non-STEM fields. The initial columns of the dataset contain the following demographic information: age, major (STEM = 1; non-STEM = 0), high school GPA (hsGPA), and first-year GPA of students’ university-level studies (fyGPA). The last columns include a set of three self-report measures: The Prospective and Retrospective Memory Questionnaire (PRMQ) [9-10], The Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7) scale [11], and the General Academic Self-Efficacy (GASE) scale [12-13].
