Next-generation sequencing of BRAF and PDGFRA mutation

we reported a rare case involving a 41-year-old Chinese woman with a high-risk GIST exhibiting typical spindle cell morphology. She initially received adjuvant imatinib therapy, which was discontinued after 6 months because molecular analysis revealed dual BRAF V600E and PDGFRA mutations, and PET-computed tomography revealed multiple metastases within the abdominal cavity. She was subsequently treated with vemurafenib and avapritinib; however, both therapies were discontinued owing to the development of additional abdominal lesions. Metastatic mass was surgically excised, and histopathological and immunohistochemical analyses confirmed IAF diagnosis.
