Computational Study of Residual Stress Development and Dimensional Deviations in LPBF-fabricated Ti-6Al-4V TPMS Lattice Structures

The dataset supports a combined experimental–numerical study of LPBF-fabricated Ti-6Al-4V TPMS lattice structures (gyroid, Schwarz diamond, and Schwarz primitive) at 20% relative density, built at 0°, 30°, and 45° orientations in as-printed and heat-treated (670 °C, 4.5 h) conditions. It comprises thermomechanically coupled finite element predictions of residual stress and surface deviation; experimental validation data from 3D optical scanning (dimensional deviation) and XRD–Williamson–Hall analysis (microstrain and residual stress trends); areal surface roughness measurements (Sa, Sq); quasi-static compression results (stress–displacement curves, peak strength, and energy absorption); and SEM images of failure morphology. Together these data characterise the coupled effects of topology, build orientation, and stress-relief heat treatment on manufacturability, dimensional accuracy, surface integrity, and compressive performance.
