August Gaul: Young bear

Plaster sculpture of a young bear lying on its back, made by the German sculptor August Gaul. On the back of the sculture, there is also noted the owner of the plaster sculptures: the German dramatist and novelist Gerhart Hauptmann. Collection: Part of the sculpture collection at the city museum of Berlin, Germany. The collection consists of 3.000 objects of which a third are portrait busts of famous Berlin artists, scholars, politicians and rulers.
