RNAseq of liver and pectoralis major muscle tissues of Gallus Gallus (Ross 308)

Over the last half century, antimicrobials (AM) have been primarly used in the poultry industry for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes. Unfortunately, one of the undesirable consequences of AM overuse is the presence of their residues in edible tissues causing health risk to consumers, including antibiotic resistance and hypersensitivity reaction. We evaluated by RNA-seq liver and pectoralis major muscle transcriptomic profiles in broilers reared without treatment or treated with different classes of AM.
