Effect of Azelaic acid on plant root microbiome

Previous studies have shown that azelaic acid is produced by diatoms and is actively involved in the modulation of the diatom microbiome. The goal of this study was the investigate the ability of azelaic acid to effect similar change in the terrestrial environment. Arabidopsis thaliana immune responses seem to be primed by azelaic acid. The main aim of this study was to observe the effects azelaic acid on the root microbiome of Arabidopsis thaliana.
