Comparison of clinical Streptococcus pneumoniae strains in varying carbon sources and with genetically modified mutant strains.

We would like to compare clinical strains of Streptococcus Pneumoniae on their RNA level, when grown in varying carbon sources. Furthermore, we want to figure out the differences between genetically modified mutant strains vs their wild-types.
