Data from an experiment conducted in an oak-hickory forest in Southern Indiana assessing how prescribed fire and location within or around small group shelterwood harvests affected acorn cache pilferage rates from caches that mimic squirrel scatterhoards. These data were collected to assess how management aimed at promoting oak regeneration affected acorn-rodent interactions.
