Prokaryotic chain specific transcriptome is an effective method to study the transcriptome of species with reference genomes. Compared with traditional transcriptome sequencing, chain-specific transcriptome can determine the transcription direction of two strands, provide more accurate information for further gene annotation and functional analysis, and can also mine non-coding RNA information in the transcriptome. In the prokaryotic chain specific transcriptome project, new ncRNA and antisense transcripts can be mined.
