This volume was probably compiled by John Denham Pinnock Esq., on his becoming Immigration Agent in 1838. The first item is the manuscript original of his instructions, while all the other items are printed copies of reports, despatches, returns, letters and petitions; each dealing with some aspect of the immigration situation as it then stood; and together being the material the newly appointed Agent was given by the Government to inform him of the background to his appointment(4/4705). 1 vol.
