Fly gut transcriptome for neural control of microbiota. Drosophila melanogaster strain:NP3253

Drosophila melanogaster NP3253 is a Gal4 enhancer trap strain. When some neurons are artificially inactivated using this strain (NP3253>Kir2.1), fly becomes susceptible to bacteria oral infection. NP3253>Kir fly is also sensitive to microbiota. To address this mechanism, RNA-seq of fly gut was performed, when the neurons were inactivated (NP3253>Kir2.1) or were normal (NP3253>GFP) in conventionally reared or germ-free condition.
