Severe chronic experimental autoimmune uveitis (EAU) of the C57BL/6 mouse induced by adoptive transfer of IRBP1-20-specific T cells.

Mice adoptively transferred with the epitope specific T cells developed EAU as measured by clinical score and histopathology. Mice transferred with only 1 x 106 T cells did not develop disease. Mice transferred with T cells restimulated in vitro with the epitope plus CpG developed more severe EAU than mice transferred with T cells restimulated only with the epitope.
