Lipophagy is the process of autophagic degradation of lipid droplets into fatty acids. Lipid droplets are coated with perilipin (Plin) protiens and they need to be eliminated for the degradation of the lipids inside. Cytosolic Heat shock cognate 71 kDa protein (Hspa8) binds Plin2 and Plin3 on the lipid droplet surface. Consequently, Prkaa2 bind and phosphorylate perilipins targeting them for lipophagy (S Kaushik et al. 2015, S Kaushik et al. 2016).
脂噬作用是脂滴通过自噬降解为脂肪酸的过程。脂滴表面被脂滴素(Plin)蛋白包裹,为了降解其内部的脂质,这些脂滴素蛋白需要被清除。细胞质热休克蛋白同源71 kDa蛋白(Hspa8)与脂滴表面的Plin2和Plin3结合。因此,PRKAA2蛋白与之结合并磷酸化脂滴素蛋白,从而将其靶向用于脂噬作用(S Kaushik 等人,2015年,S Kaushik 等人,2016年)。
