资源简介:
This study presents the whole genome sequence of Stutzerimonas stutzeri strain C-65, isolated from milk of a 4-year-old Jersey cow with subclinical mastitis. The sample was collected at the Milk Livestock Research Institute (MLRI) on November 22, 2023. Subclinical mastitis was confirmed through California Mastitis Test, electrical conductivity, pH, and white side test analyses. Phenotypic antimicrobial susceptibility testing revealed multi-drug resistance to Penicillin, Tetracycline, and Streptomycin. Whole genome sequencing was performed to identify genetic determinants of antimicrobial resistance and virulence factors that may contribute to subclinical mastitis pathogenesis. This genomic data provides valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance in S. stutzeri associated with bovine mastitis and its potential impact on dairy cattle health. The presence of this environmental bacterium in a subclinical mastitis case highlights the diverse microbial ecology associated with bovine udder infections and the importance of environmental management in mastitis prevention.
