Web Scraped Content Datasets for YOU-DARE Far-Right Gender Controversy Mapping (YD-WSCD)

This metadata describes the contents of the data sets the data collection "Web Scraped Content Datasets for YOU-DARE Far-Right Gender Controversy Mapping" (YD-WSCD), collected for Far-Right gender controversy mapping as part of the Horizon Europe YOU-DARE project. All data collection and curation was done by CALDISS at Aalborg University. The goal of the data collection pipeline was to gather raw data in a structured format that could later be reviewed, processed, and used for analysis in the project. Data was collected from a researcher-curated selection of actors - influencers, groups, political parties, organization - from three platforms: Websites, YouTube and Telegram. With the exception of manually scraped sources, all data have been collected via Python programs. All software and code used for collecting the data along with documentation is made freely available on GitHub at the following link: https://github.com/CALDISS-AAU/YOU-DARE_scrapers. Access conditions As the data sets themselves contain personal as well as copyrighted information, data has not been made publically available. Access may be granted upon request; assuming proper legal basis and justification for processing the data.
