资源简介:
Nemacheilus fasciatus is a small freshwater fish belonging to the family Nemacheilidae (stone loaches) that is commonly found in fast-flowing rivers. This species has an elongated, slender body with dark transverse bands along its body, which serve as camouflage among the rocky riverbed. N. fasciatus is a benthic fish that prefers rocky or sandy substrates and feeds on small organisms such as insect larvae, algae, and detritus. It is distributed in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, and is often considered an indicator of relatively good water quality. This species was formally described by Valenciennes in 1846 and was proposed as a new species at that time. It was last assessed for the IUCN Red List in 2019 and categorized as Least Concern. This project generates genomic resources for Nemacheilus fasciatus collected from the Temanggung area, Central Java. We sequenced and assembled mitochondrial DNA data (the complete mitochondrial genome and/or mitochondrial markers).
