资源简介:
The dataset provides comprehensive insights into the geographic movements of a sample of cruise passengers in Palermo, Italy, as captured through a series of GPS tracking data collected in 2014. The data are stored in CSV format, with each one assigned a unique identifier, resulting in 162 distinct participants' paths stored in the folder labelled "Original Data". The data are restricted to tourists who did not purchase an organised tour and remained within the city limits. The preprocessed data, which is also organised by unique identifiers in a manner consistent with the original data, is available for consultation in the folder labelled 'Preprocessed Data'. The dataset not only records the movements of passengers but also offers insights into the diverse travel behaviours exhibited during their visit. The original data set comprises 161 comma-separated values (CSV) files, each bearing a distinctive trajectory identification number and encompassing the following fields: - Date: The date of the GPS recording is recorded in the format YYYY-MM-DD. - Time (local time zone): The time at which the recording was made in local time (hours and minutes). - Latitude: The north-south geographic coordinate is expressed in decimal degrees. - Longitude: The east-west geographic coordinate is expressed in decimal degrees. - Altitude (metres): The altitude in metres above sea level. - Velocity (kilometres per hour): The velocity of the tracked object is expressed in kilometres per hour. Furthermore, a Comma-Separated Values file, entitled 'Register', is provided, which details the commencement and conclusion times for each trajectory, classified by unique identifier. The start time refers to the point at which the tourist departs with the GPS device, while the end time indicates their return. Data points recorded prior to the start or subsequent to the end times encompass the researcher's actions, such as device activation and retrieval.
