Pathogen isolation and identification of mango leaf disease

The diseased parts were collected from the fields and sent back to the laboratory. PDA was used to isolate strains from the diseased and healthy leaves of the mango. The strains were tested for pathogenicity, morphological observations were conducted, and molecular sequence analysis was performed. Primers beta-tubulin were used to amplify fragments of the pathogenic bacteria. Morphological observations and molecular sequence analysis confirmed that the strain is closely related to Nigrospora lacticolonia.
