资源简介:
In the face of wide-scale antimicrobial resistance, bacteriophages offer numerous benefits as therapeutic agents due to their adaptability. However, to optimise phage therapeutics in the long term, we must understand the factors which determine both the degree of resistance evolution, and its associated fitness costs, during treatment. Here, we are investigating the effect of sequence order for multi-phage treatments, comparing simultaneous and sequential phage application. Further, we will compare the strength and range of resistance associated with specific mutations, and their associated fitness costs.
