Radiosonde - All sites

1) Radiosonde data from the DACCIWA stations Abidjan, Accra, Cotonou, Lamto, Parakou. External data from Abuja, Douala, Enugu, Kano, Lagos are also provided<br />
2) Please refer to the README file in the directory "Radiosonde_Data" for more information about the data structure and data format.<br />
3) In general: Vertical profile of pressure, temperature, dew point temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction. The parameters described in the section below refer to the high resolution soundings (in ftr format) from the campaign.<br />
4) Data is not confined to the DACCIWA period. Soundings from previous years are also included<br />
5) Data for Kumasi will be delivered by ULEEDS. Soundings from Save have already been provided by UPS.<br />

IMPORTANT NOTE: Some humidity measurements with GRAW-type radiosondes (Accra and Lamto) have shown a dry bias while penetrating clouds, i.e. maximum relative humidity is typically 95% instead of 100%.<br />

Observing strategy: <br />
In general, six-hourly launches at synoptic times during the DACCIWA period. At times, launches at 0900 UTC in Accra and 0300, 0900 and 2100 UTC in Lamto were executed.
