资源简介:
Hospitalized burn patients are particularly vulnerable to infections, with multidrug-resistant gram-negative pathogens posing a significant threat to their clinical management. The emergence of these resistant strains has heightened concerns regarding treatment options and patient outcomes. Understanding the epidemiology, and clinical impact of multidrug-resistant gram-negative infections in this patient population is crucial for guiding effective infection prevention and control strategies, as well as optimizing antibiotic therapy. In recent years, the application of whole genome sequencing has revolutionized our understanding of bacterial isolates recovered from burn patients, offering unprecedented insights into the genetic makeup and virulence factors of these pathogens. This approach has not only facilitated the identification and characterization of common gram-negative strains but has also shed light on the presence of rare opportunistic organisms that may play a significant role in the clinical course of burn-related infections. This study aims to comprehensively examine the current landscape of infections caused by multidrug-resistant gram-negative pathogens in hospitalized burn patients.
