资源简介:
This dataset contains detections of two Kogia species, Pygmy sperm whales (Kogia breviceps) and dwarf sperm whales (Kogia sima), echolocation clicks from three locations in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) from the period following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill (2010-2013). These detections are given by site and time bin, including the number of detections per time bin. Clicks were grouped into five-minute bins. For each bin containing clicks, the number of clicks, mean click spectrum, and distribution of received levels are given, along with information about the bin start and end time. Passive acoustic monitoring was conducted with High-frequency Acoustic Recording Packages (HARPs). These data were scanned for Kogia clicks using a combination of computer algorithms and manual (analyst) scanning of the waveform and spectral data. This dataset supports the publication: Hildebrand, J. A., Frasier, K. E., Baumann-Pickering, S., Wiggins, S. M., Merkens, K. P., Garrison, L. P., Soldevilla, M.S., & McDonald, M.A. (2019).
