资源简介:

This record holds the numerical content behind every panel of every figure of the article, in the main text and in the Supplementary Information. One NetCDF file per map panel carries the mapped field; one CSV file per line panel carries the curves. Each file names the figure and the panel it belongs to in its variable attributes. The files are in one zip archive, with one directory per figure (Figure_1 to Figure_4, Supplementary_Figure_1 to Supplementary_Figure_14). README.md in the archive maps each directory to its figure. The record does not redistribute the input datasets, which remain with their providers and are cited in the article: - NOAA 1/4 degree Daily Optimum Interpolation Sea Surface Temperature, version 2.1, from NOAA/NCEI.- The CESM2 Large Ensemble (CESM2-LENS2), from the NSF NCAR Geoscience Data Exchange.- MPI-ESM1-2-LR and ACCESS-ESM1-5 historical and ScenarioMIP daily surface temperature, from the Earth System Grid Federation. Marine heatwaves are detected following Hobday et al. (2016): a threshold at the 90th percentile of daily sea surface temperature over 1982-2001, computed in a moving window of 11 days and smoothed over 31 days, with a minimum duration of five days and a maximum gap of two days between events. Two grids appear in the files. Fields drawn on a model's own grid keep the curvilinear coordinates of that model, given as two-dimensional latitude and longitude arrays. Fields that compare a model with the observations, or that combine models, are on the regular 0.25 degree grid of the observations, to which they were interpolated bilinearly. The code that produced these files is deposited separately; the two records point at each other.
