using 13C-DNA stable-isotope probing, metagenomics, metatranscriptomics, and comparative genomics, we investigate the growth of methanotrophs under elevated-temperature incubation in two contrasting permafrost soils. The results will provide mechanistic insight into how methanotrophs mediate methane oxidation under warming in permafrost soils, offering insights into microbial contributions to greenhouse gas dynamics in a changing climate.
