Diesel oil was the leading type of product refined from crude oil in Algeria in 2020, with an output of around 9.6 million metric tons. Naphtha and fuel followed at approximately 7.3 million and 5.9 million metric tons, respectively. As of 2021, Algeria's oil refinery capacity corresponded to 677 thousand barrels per calendar day.
