Literature Database on AI Applications in Early Warning Systems

This Excel database was compiled and used in the paper “Advancing Early Warning Systems: AI Applications, Challenges and Emerging Insights” (under review). It contains a curated collection of publications on the application of artificial intelligence (AI), including machine learning and deep learning, in early warning systems (EWS) for natural hazards. The database includes the following columns: Author: Names of the authors of the publication. Title: Full title of the publication. Journal/Conference: Name of the journal or conference where the work was published. Year: Year of publication. DOI/URL: Digital Object Identifier (DOI) or URL link to the publication. Detected Hazards: Types of natural hazards addressed (e.g., floods, droughts, heatwaves, storms). This dataset supports reproducibility and transparency of the research, and can be used by researchers and practitioners to explore trends, gaps, and research directions in AI-based early warning systems.
