The Natural Resources Audit Council was established to facilitate a systematic and comprehensive audit of the values of public lands and their natural resources on a regional basis. These records document the meetings of the Council and the resources audits undertaken.The files have TCO prefixes as the Council was the responsibility of The Cabinet Office until its function was transferred to the Department of Land and Water Conservation in 1995.The work of the Natural Resources Audit Council was continued by the Resource and Conservation Assessment Council.
