Zoning into catchment areas of cities, whole France, enriched (ZAAV-2020)

The AAV zoning presented by INSEE on 21 October 2020 (https://www.insee.fr/fr/statistiques/4806694) succeeds the zoning in urban areas of 2010. This is a major update in line with European standards (following a standardisation proposed by Eurostat and OECD). “An area attracting is composed of a pole, defined on the basis of population and employment criteria, and a crown, consisting of municipalities of which at least 15 % of the workforce work in the pole”. The data available here enrich the database proposed by INSEE with: — the addition of the populations of the municipalities and the AAVs — the calculation of the grouped typology put forward in the form of a map by INSEE (including color codes) — the addition of the typology “community density grid”
