R&D expenses per business economic sector (BES)

Internal R&D Expenditure, by business economic sector. The official statistical data of R&D expenditure concern the total of the country, with analysis in the business economic sectors. R&D expenditure includes personnel costs, other current expenditure (such as operating expenses - rents, telephones, consumables, travel, subscriptions, etc.), as well as capital expenditure (purchase of equipment, land and buildings). Excluded are R&D activities carried out by entities with assignments to external partners or other entities and are carried out without their substantial involvement (extramural expenditure).
