Data includes location for each sampling site (geographic region, island, site name, geographical coordinates), date of sampling, type of reef, depth, benthic cover (hard coral, crustose coralline algae, sum of calcifying organisms, macroalgae, turf algae, sum of fleshy organisms, and sand), viral and bacterial abundance, virus-to-microbe ratio, fish biomass (herbivore, invertivore, planktivores, piscivores, sharks, and others), dissolved inorganic carbon, and total alkalinity.
