Chinese Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici population is a separate group from those from other areas like Europe and Israel and show high virulence and genetic diversity within and between populations from various wheat growing regions. To further reveal the molecular basis of virulence variation and pathogenesis, we produced the assembly of isolate 21-2 using PacBio and ONT sequencing, and scaffolded the contigs into chromosomes based on Hi-C sequencing data.
