Parsed GBIF global plant occurrence data 1.0 Plus

Unique collection events (28492644) of all vascular plant specimens preserved in herbarium from the Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). The occurrences were processed by the ParseGBIF package workflow (https://github.com/pablopains/parseGBIF; https://doi.org/10.1038/s41598-024-56158-3), designed to verify and standardize scientific names of species according to the World Checklist of Vascular Plants taxonomic backbone and to analyze duplicate records in 'unique collection events'. This dataset represents 'unique collection events' of useable data with successfully verified geographic coordinates.
Data Columns:
Ctrl_gbifID - GBIF ID
parseGBIF_sample_taxon_name - The accepted TAXON_NAME selected is that which has most frequently been applied to the duplicate records at, or below, the rank of species. Where two names are applied with equal frequency, the first TAXON_NAME listed in alphabetical order is chosen to enable automation of the process.

parseGBIF_wcvp_plant_name_id - WCVP ID

Ctrl_key_family_recordedBy_recordNumber - A string that combined the plant family name + the first collector’s surname + the collection number.
