Single Embryo RNA-seq of C. remanei, C. latens, and Their Hybrids

The study profiled single embryos of sister species, Caenorhabditis briggsae and C. nigoni, along with their interspecies hybrids. Embryos were collected at comma stage and their sexes were determined by assessing the expression levels of her-1 and xol-1, two key regulators of sex determination in Caenorhabditis. Exploring the transcriptomes of these species and their hybrids can shed light on gene regulation, hybrid inviability, and the complexities of their reproductive strategies.
