Mouse alveolar macrophages were stimulated in vitrowith PBS, wild-type adenovirus, or recombinant adenovirus. After a 5-day rest period, cells were subjected to transcriptome sequencing to decipher the trained immunity-induced transcriptomic remodeling and its contribution to the enhancement of cellular protective functions.
